Geographic areas include the United States, Europe, Egypt, Uganda, and Panama. Photographs were taken by Theodore Roosevelt, Underwood & Underwood, Brown Brothers, Rockwood, C.F. Gilbert, Irving Dutcher, Kay C. Lenskjold, Alex J. Rota, and Morton Yourow. Copy photographs by Edward Van Altena. Photographs are identified.

From 1868 William, Henry and Adam Brown occupied Buckholm Corn Mill. Adam retired in 1875, William and Henry died in 1883 and 1885 respectively, and control was passed to William's sons.
